V1 Engineering and in particular the LowRider 4 improved considerably the quality, the speed and the diversity of Barbagiazz ski making. It is not only great company with great products but it is also a great community.
FreeCAD
I am a long-time Linux user (Debian particularly) and FreeCAD turned out to be the perfect solution to create not only the different ski components such as the base, the core the tip and tail inserts but it also allowed me to design several parts for the different tool I use in the ski making process. I also leverage the CAM module to generate the paths and gcode to be sent to the LR4.
